Welcome to Right Choice Plumbing. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website at rightchoiceplumbing.ca and the plumbing, drainage, hot water tank and related services we provide. By using this website, requesting a quote, booking an appointment, or hiring us to perform work at your property, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply in BC. They are intended to be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

Right Choice Plumbing is a licensed and insured plumbing and drainage company operating in Greater Vancouver, BC & Surrounding Areas. References to "we," "us" and "our" in these Terms mean Right Choice Plumbing. References to "you" and "your" mean the person or business using our website or hiring us to perform work.

2. Use of This Website

The content on this website - pages, photos, articles, brand names, logos, layout and code - is provided for general information about our services. We try to keep the information accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that it is error-free or current at all times. You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and not to:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site, our servers, or accounts of other users;
• Use any automated system (bots, scrapers, crawlers other than reasonable search-engine crawlers) to harvest content, contact details or pricing information from the site;
• Upload or transmit malware, viruses or any malicious code;
• Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information through any contact or booking form;
• Copy, republish or otherwise re-use the content of this website (including photos and copy) without our prior written permission, except as permitted by Canadian copyright law (e.g. brief quotations with attribution).

3. Quotes, Estimates & Bookings

Quotes and estimates we provide - whether by phone, email, online form or in person - are based on the information you give us and the conditions visible at the time. They are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. The final price may change if:

• Conditions on site differ materially from what was described (e.g. hidden damage, asbestos, additional code-compliance requirements, parts not in standard inventory);
• You request additional work beyond the original scope;
• Permits, inspections or specialty parts are required and were not included in the initial estimate.

We will always discuss price changes with you before performing additional work. Booking an appointment does not create a binding contract for the work; a binding contract forms only when you accept a written or electronic estimate and we confirm the appointment.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand things come up. We ask that you give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule a booked appointment so we can offer the slot to another customer. For non-emergency appointments cancelled with less than two hours' notice, or for "no-show" appointments where our technician arrives at your address and is unable to gain access, we may charge a reasonable trip / dispatch fee. Any such fee will be disclosed before it is charged.

5. Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due upon completion of the work. We accept Cash, Credit Card, Debit Card, Interac, E-Transfer. Pricing is in CAD and includes applicable Canadian taxes (GST and, where applicable, PST) which will be itemised on your invoice. Late payments may accrue interest at the rate of 1.5% per month (19.56% per annum) on the unpaid balance from the invoice due date. NSF / returned cheques may be subject to a reasonable administration fee.

6. Workmanship Warranty

We stand behind our work. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, every installation and repair we perform is backed by a workmanship warranty that covers defects in our labour for the period stated on your invoice.

• Parts and equipment - hot water tanks, faucets, toilets, valves, pumps and other manufactured items are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. We will help you submit a manufacturer warranty claim where applicable.
• What's not covered - our warranty does not cover issues caused by misuse, accidents, freezing, abnormal use, lack of maintenance, customer-supplied parts or fixtures, work modified by anyone other than us, water-quality issues outside our control, or pre-existing conditions in the home's plumbing system that we did not install.
• How to make a claim - call 604-330-9695 or email quotes@rightchoiceplumbing.ca as soon as you notice the issue. We will arrange a return visit; if the work is covered by warranty there is no charge.

7. Permits, Inspections & Code Compliance

We perform our work in accordance with the British Columbia Building Code, the British Columbia Plumbing Code, the BC Safety Authority requirements (Technical Safety BC) for any gas work, and applicable municipal bylaws. Where a permit or municipal inspection is legally required (for example, certain hot water tank, sewer, gas or new-construction installations), we will identify it in our estimate and pull the required permits on your behalf where appropriate. Permit fees and inspection fees, if any, are charged at cost.

8. Access, Property & Site Conditions

You agree to provide our technicians with safe and reasonable access to the work area and to disclose anything that may affect the safe performance of the work (asbestos, lead, mould, structural issues, hidden electrical wiring, unmarked utilities, aggressive pets, etc.). We take care to protect your property - clean boots, drop cloths and tidy work practices - but you acknowledge that some plumbing work (especially behind-walls, in-floor or excavation work) may require minor cosmetic disturbance which is not included in our scope unless explicitly quoted.

9. Emergency Service

We offer 24/7 emergency plumber service across Greater Vancouver. After-hours emergency calls may be billed at a different rate than standard daytime calls; the applicable rate will be disclosed before we begin work. In a true life-safety emergency (gas leak, fire, severe flooding) please contact 9-1-1 and your gas / utility provider before calling us.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are responsible for direct damages caused by our negligence or breach of contract, up to a maximum equal to the amount you have paid us for the specific job giving rise to the claim, or our applicable insurance coverage, whichever is greater.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of data, or damages caused by pre-existing conditions in your home's plumbing that we did not install.
• The website and its contents are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except those that cannot be excluded by law.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or rights you have under BC consumer protection legislation that cannot be waived.

11. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, photography, icons, copy and site design appearing on this website are owned by Right Choice Plumbing or our licensors and are protected by Canadian and international intellectual-property laws. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, but you may not otherwise reproduce, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit any of this content without our prior written consent.

12. Reviews & Submitted Content

If you submit a review, testimonial, photo or other content to us (whether through our website, by email, or on a third-party platform we link to), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce and display that content for marketing and customer-information purposes. You are responsible for ensuring your submission is truthful, your own, and does not infringe anyone else's rights.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page tells you when the Terms were most recently revised. If we make material changes we'll take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention. Your continued use of the website or our services after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply in BC. The courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services, except that we may seek urgent injunctive or other equitable relief in any competent court. Before commencing legal action, both parties agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve disputes informally by contacting the other side first.

16. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our written estimate or invoice and our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the website and the performance of our services, and supersede any prior agreements or representations on the subject matter, except as expressly stated otherwise in writing.
